About the Item

Two Space Age armchairs from the SEAT 150 series by Mauser based on a design by Herbert Hirche from the 1970s. The large seat, which seems to balance on the fine frame, is striking. The thick upholstery is finished in orange. The real special feature of this design, however, is the base made of chromed tubular steel. The four parallel tubes bundle underneath the seat and widen out towards the bottom to form runners. The ends of the runners are closed with hemispherical caps made of metal. The materiality and workmanship of these armchairs is very high quality, as can be seen on the underside. The original upholstery is slightly stained and has a few holes (see photos), you may want to reupholster the armchairs. The armchairs are in good original condition with traces of use in the upholstery. This piece has an attribution mark.
