About the Item
The Mullca name is associated with the creation and production of teaching furniture with steel tube bases and particularly the 510 school chair.
Mullca is a company created in 1947 by an investor, Robert Müller, and by Gaston Cavaillon (1910-1986), former commercial director of the Compagnie Parisienne d'Ameublement. At the end of the 1940s, Mullca was one of the rare French companies that knew how to work with steel tubes while maintaining affordable prices for its customers. First established in Neuilly s/Seine, rue de Sablonville, the company moved in the 1950s to 101 avenue de Bobigny in Noisy-le-Sec. Bought by the Pinault France Group in 1990, then returned, the company filed for bankruptcy in 1961.
