Top quality Arts and Crafts workmanship chairs, in near-mint condition. If you are looking for the best condition and materials antiques only then this set of four dining chairs could be yours to own, use and enjoy soon. Over the years we have sold some beautiful chairs, but we never found a more stylish and amazing condition set of Dutch Arts and Crafts dining chairs. The design is truly marvelous, but the condition of all four of these chairs is what some would deservedly call 'mind blowing'. Even a 'half trained eye' can see that the surface of the wood is absurdly clean and smooth for chairs that are over one hundred years old. These chairs even come with their original velvet upholstery and even that is still in a more than fair condition. If you would like to re-upholster then you could not wish for an easier job, because the seats are easy to take out and the re-upholstering could not be more easy. What makes these chairs extra special is the fact that they are all handcrafted out of solid walnut. More than 95% of Dutch Arts and Crafts chairs were made of oak, but these works of beauty are made of a beautiful and rich nutwood and the grain is amazing. Inserted in the backs of these chairs are stylized and hand carved four leaf patterns. These remarkable and typical Dutch Arts and Crafts motifs are hand carved out of solid coromandel. Finally, all four chairs are as strong and stabile as the day they were handcrafted, which means that there is not a millimeter of wobbel in any of these chairs. They are absolutely ready to be used and enjoyed and when taken care of like former owners did, they will last at least another 100 years. This superb condition set is great value for money.
