About the Item

This exquisite set of four Ciambotto chairs combines the warmth of natural materials with the elegance of Italian design. Crafted in ash wood with a rich brown finish, each chair is distinguished by a semi-circular backrest and a seat entirely woven in straw, executed in a refined concentric pattern that radiates both texture and rhythm. The four rounded legs give a sense of balance and timeless simplicity, allowing the craftsmanship of the straw weaving to take center stage. Produced by Pozzi around 1979 and designed by the visionary trio Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi, these chairs embody the joyful yet sophisticated spirit of Italian design in the late twentieth century—functional, inviting, and undeniably iconic. Bibliography G. Gramigna, Repertorio 1950–1980, reference on p. 470.
