Introducing a limited set of up to twelve Italian-made dining chairs designed and crafted in the manner of Gio Ponti's classic 'Leggera' chair design. Built from a light-weight frame of European walnut and painted black this ultra-stylish set of quintessentially Italian Modern chairs features new, kind-to-the-touch white cotton bouclé upholstery by Knoll Fabrics. The original paint has been sanded and re-painted with new semi-gloss poly-urethane paint giving the frames a subtle shine that perfectly offsets the rich, tactile bouclé fabric.
Stamped "Made in Italy" these gorgeous chairs have been painstakingly restored ensuring that each chair is structurally sound and weight-bearing in spite of it's ultra-slim design and footprint. Each chair also features new support straps and medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity and assuring that these chairs are ready for a lifetime more of use.
With their sleek Italian Modern lines, new Knoll upholstery and light-weight design this alluring set is sure to make a BOLD impression in any space they inhabit either in home or office settings and can blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Contemporary to Boho-Chic and everything in between. This stylish set of Italian-made dining chairs has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration process and we love the results. The solid European walnut legs and frames have been hand-sanded and ebonized with poly urethane paint with only minor nicks remaining which can be seen in the detail photos provided.
The upholstery, redone in a kind-to-the-touch white cotton bouclé fabric by Knoll Fabrics, is in showroom condition and each cushion has been replaced with new support straps and medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity.
These gorgeous Italian Modern dining chairs are comfortable, structurally solid and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
