Set of 6 T-chairs designed by William Katavolos, Ross Litell
David Kelley in the early 1950ies
Hardly any other chair konjugates one particular shape comparable to the T-Chair: T-legs, assembled with a T-cross brace under the seat
a T-shaped leather sling. Like a material poem the design of the T-Chair reveals it’s beauty in variation
correspondence. This remarkable design won the architects collective an AID design Award in 1952 for the t-chairs design.
The T-chair has been manufactured by Laverne International in the US as well as by ICF de Padova in Italy in the 1950ies and 1960ies.
All six chairs are in very good vintage condition, appropriate to their age. The Leather seats have been renewed and do show only very few signs of use. The leather hides may show leather typical scars.
Further use will form and further mold the seats shape.
