An exceptionally rare and historically significant set of eight chairs, designed by M.G. Bindesbøll. These chairs feature turned and stained beech frames, beautifully complemented by their original green-striped wool upholstery. Their sculptural yet refined form exemplifies Bindesbøll’s distinctive approach to furniture design, blending architectural influence with exquisite craftsmanship. A similar chair is illustrated in Herculanum på Sjælland, p. 161, further attesting to the rarity and importance of this design.
