About the Item

Set of four lucite Champagner chairs designed by Erwine Estelle Laverne, ca. 1960 Manufactured by Formes Nouvelles, France, ca. 1960 This offer contains four chairs. As shown in the last picture we have eight chairs in stock and you will be able to find a 2nd set of four chairs in our storefront here on 1stdibs. With it’s transparent lucite seat shell and Aluminium base the Champagner chair offers a very minimalistic esthetic it’s elegant transparent seat shell evokes - and therefore the band - the idea of a Champagner Glas. The aluminum base is equipped with a revolving shivel function, that will automatically return the shell to it’s center position. All four chairs are in good to very good vintage condition with few signs of use appropriate to age and wear. The Aluminium base shows slight scratches and signs of use. The seat cushions were renewed in high quality natural leather and reviewed new foam inlets. Dimensions: W 65 cm x D 60 cm H 88 cm, seat height circa 40 cm.
