About the Item

During the mid-20th century, European designers turned their attention to rethinking domestic comfort, and explored how new ideas of form and proportion could transform the experience of sitting and living. Moving away from traditional ornament and into a culture of experimentation, they began focusing on honest materials, balanced lines, and structure. This was a period when modernism evolved into a human-centered vision of modern living. This set of lounge chairs captures that spirit with its thoughtful interplay of geometry and tactility.
