About the Item

Superleggera 699 chair designed by Gio Ponti in 1957 and produced by Cassina. Its black lacquered ash wood frame and guinea cane seat make this seat one of the most famous design icons. Its simplicity and aesthetic attractiveness is a symptom of a synthesis between Gio Ponti's architectural training and Cassina's experimentation with raw materials and cutting-edge processes. Even today you can still admire the craftsmanship of the Super Leggera's design, which after nearly 60 years still remains an undisputed icon. The product is in excellent condition with slight signs due to the passage of time, more details visible in the photo gallery.
