About the Item

SUPERB Rare Set of Four (4) PLAIL brothers chairs This is a rare set of four (4) chairs made by PAIL Brothers in the early 1900s John and Joseph in Binghamton NY and they were the expert in steaming bending wood in the early 1900s, with original all spindles and no bow. They are in very good condition. There are three (3) arm chairs and one (1) arm rocker. The chairs are barrel chairs with a great selection of quarter sawn oak. The seats have been reupholstered with black hand-spun leather with cotton and hair filling (NO sponge!). The chairs look like they have the original finish. Shipping on this item will be $799.00 to the lower 48 states. - W8379 SIZE H 32.5 in W25.5 in PLEASE NOTE: We dealing with antique mission furniture and GUSTAV STICKLEY items since the early 1970s. we offer good quality in excellent condition, furniture, just full ARTS &CRAFTS shop. We do not deal with reproduction made by so called "STICKLEY AUDI" which made in the last 40 yrs or so. These reproduction are all around the internet and marked as STICKLEY Audi. These furniture are in the DESIGN of STICKLEY and have nothing to do with the real Stickley. In the early 1970s a man contacted LEO Stickley widow and purchased from here the BRAND NAME L&jG Stickley and they made furniture and marked as Stickley AUDI in the Stickley design, look alike or Stickley school as some say to fool the buyers thinking they buying a Stickley pc of furniture. These 'Stickley Audi' furniture are looks like Stickley furniture but the quality is not high as real Stickley from the early 1900s since they did not use True tenon construction and used glue. These furniture have NO much value compare to the real Stickley, we can buy them for below $100 a pc but we do not because buyers think we offer fake Stickley furniture. We see these fake furniture on line, marked as STICKLEY when the seller know very well they do not offer you the real stuff. Gustav Stickley furniture are a work of arts and highly collectable.
