On offer on this occasion is an iconic “Nautilus” Corkscrew Armchair and Footstool from the “New York Collection” by world renown German furniture designer, Vladimir Kagan. As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this Kagan masterpiece, his pieces are the epitome of contemporary furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard. In a world of temporary pleasures, Kagan create beautiful furniture that remains a joy forever. Dressed in the most stunning and tactile short-pile Ultrasuede option in a versatile, neutral Mid-Brown hue. Whilst being as robust and hard-wearing as rhino skin, its softness and texture (as illustrated in the close-up images provided) is simply divine to the touch. With dark-hardwood trim around the base (as per the picture provided) to give it an elegant, floating-effect. This piece is in superb, immaculately-maintained condition, having seen light, irregular use in the past. Its handsome order reflects the TLC and considerate use afforded it at its previous home and, aside from some light, isolated marking to the seat and arms (as you might expect from a piece of this vintage) is as well-presented as you could possibly hope to find.
