About the Item

A Swedish Gustavian pair of slatted back side chairs from the early 19th century. These antique chairs from Sweden have straight top rails and slatted backs. The lines are mostly clean and linear. The seats are newly upholstered in a Belgian linen. The chairs are presented upon four squared, tapering legs which are supported with an H-stretcher mid-way to their feet. This pair of Swedish Gustavian side chairs will be lovely for a more intimate seating arrangement, perhaps placed in front of a window with a small games table between them.
