About the Item

An iconic swivel chair designed by Kenzo Tange for Kotobuki. Tange, one of Japan’s most influential modernist architects, collaborated with Kotobuki to create a series of utilitarian yet sculptural seating pieces reflecting his design philosophy. This chair features a minimalist tripod base with stabilizing side rods, an adjustable swivel mechanism with the black vinyl seat and backrest with beautifully aged patina. Its industrial character, functional structure, and expressive silhouette make it an exceptional example of post-war Japanese design. This model embodies the architectural precision and Japanese modernism aesthetic approach.
