About the Item
Set of six “T” model chairs, designed by William Katavolos, Douglas Kelley and Ross Littell for Laverne in 1960. The project represents one of the most advanced results of research on structural minimalism and the use of industrial materials in post-war international design.
The chair is characterized by a thin metal frame and a taut leather seat and backrest, elements that define a rigorous balance between visual lightness, resistance and comfort. The formal reduction and construction clarity make the “T” model an icon of modernist design, capable of integrating naturally into both domestic and professional contexts.
Produced by Laverne the chairs testify to the company’s attention to executive quality and the diffusion in Europe of the most significant international design projects of the Sixties.
