We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning suite of three original Arts Crafts, solid English Elm, Cock fighting chairs / stools This really is an exquisite set of stools, they are pure art furniture from every angle, the design originates from the 18th century, they are documented as being use in cockfights as you could sit backwards on the chair Condition wise, the chairs have been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, they are original patina chairs meaning all the period charm has been left in Dimensions Height:- 80cm Width:- 41cm Depth:- 39.5cm, Seat height:- 54cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and important suite of six original Victorian Walnut Eton College captains chairs each one carved with EC in the back rest A substantial find, I have never seen one of these let alone a suite of six, perfect for a gentleman’s club or the perfect height for luxury dining chairs In terms of the condition they are circa 1860, hand carved from solid slabs of walnut, they have traces of the original varnish which has worn away over the decades to reveal the glorious timber patina.
