The Timea chair, designed by Elena Salmistraro for Emmemobili, is a refined piece that merges aesthetics with philosophy. Inspired by Plato’s “Timaeus,” where the cosmos is described as circular, this concept is reflected in the design through the continuous repetition of circular forms—in the seat, the backrest, and both the wooden and metal structures. The frame is crafted from black burnished metal, with legs made of solid oak. Seat and backrest are upholstered in soft Vegas velvet and padded with polyurethane foam. A cast bronze insert adds a sophisticated touch. Timea is not only visually striking but also functional, making it perfect for elegant living rooms, modern dining areas, or creative studios. It represents a seamless fusion of art, comfort, and craftsmanship.
