One-of-a-kind, exceptional sculptural throne chair sourced from a French artisan workshop, late 1970s. Hand-carved from a piece of solid hardwood, it has a generous, enveloping backrest with soft, rounded edges and subtle sculpted curves that follow the body. The base is formed from stacked organic volumes, giving the piece a strong, grounded presence while still feeling fluid and playful.
A loose seat cushion in textured woven fabric adds comfort and a quiet contrast to the warm timber grain. Natural knots, colour variations, and small cracks are left visible, celebrating the character of the wood rather than hiding it. As a sculptural, organic modern accent chair with clear studio craft and wabi sabi influences, the chair works as both functional seating and collectible art furniture that immediately draws the eye in any interior.
