About the Item

18th century blue-gray painted Venetian side chairs with leather seats. Chairs have a heraldic style cross maker's mark engraved on backs of chairs. Features hand carved stretchers and pied-de-biche hooves, seat covered in a sky blue leather. Uneven lines and surface marks reveal this chair as a hand-chiseled example of the highest order from the early 18th century. Sold individually, four available.
