French farmhouse chairs from the Allier region of central France. Their unusual design with a green stained seat and backrest is typical of the region and not found elsewhere.
The wood has a nice rich tone, the green seat and back rest contrasts perfectly. Both chairs have a wonderful patina, one slightly more than the other.
All original. No damage or old repairs. Very well constructed, solid and sturdy with no loose joints. Cleaned, ready for use.
