About the Item
Rare set of six dining chairs made in the 1920s from solid ash wood. The seats feature a high back finely carved with floral and geometric motifs, typical of the early 20th-century style, enhanced by elegant turnings on the uprights.
The chairs have upholstered seats covered in fabric (to be restored or replaced as needed), which offers the possibility of customizing the furniture while keeping the original structure intact.

Fratelli Podestà, 8 Dining Chairs
Campanino 900
Model, Chiavari, 1950s
By Fratelli Podestà
Located in Chiavari, Liguria
A beautiful and rare set of eight dining chairs ''Campanino 900'' model, manufactured by Fratelli Podestà in the late 1950s.

The result is a modern and agile chair which evolves the concept of the classic ''chiavarina'' chair nevertheless maintaining its original construction process.
Made of beech painted in a cherrywood essence, this model has a frame which weight just 1,700 kg (for a total of 2,1 kg with its drawn guinea cane seat).

Names of the likes as Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Ignazio Gardella, Piero Bottoni, Gio Ponti, Azucena, Gianfranco Frattini have often used Chiavari chairs...
