About the Item

Amazing Vitra Verner Panton S Junior Chair, produced in 2009. This playful chair reinterpret one of the most iconic furniture designs of the 20th century. Originally conceived in the 1960s, the Panton Chair was the first cantilevered chair made from a single piece of molded plastic. The Junior edition preserves the flowing curves and sculptural silhouette of the original but is scaled to two-thirds, making it perfectly suited for children while remaining highly collectible. The vivid orange finish embody Panton’s love of strong, expressive color. This chair is made of durable injection-molded polypropylene, a lightweight and robust material that is also easy to clean. Each bears the embossed Verner Panton and Vitra marks, together with production date stamps on the underside, ensuring their authenticity. Ideal for a child’s room, play space, or as playful design accents in a modern interior, these chairs capture Panton’s joyful spirit and his vision of democratic, colorful design. Beyond their function, they stand as collectible design objects that connect the optimism of 1960s radical design with the practicality of contemporary living. Highly recommended item.
