About the Item

This one-of-a-kind stainless steel chaise longue by Italian artist Angelo Brescianini (circa 2008) showcases his mastery of metal manipulation. The fluid, undulating form is punctuated by signature indentations, achieved through a precise shooting technique that transforms the surface into a tactile interplay of light and shadow. Resting on a solid base, this piece is both an artwork and a statement of avant-garde craftsmanship, sourced directly from the artist’s atelier. In good original condition, it embodies the harmony between industrial materiality and organic sensuality. Born in 1948 in Palazzolo sull’Oglio, Angelo Brescianini explored multiple artistic disciplines, from woodworking to kinetic sculptures, before pioneering his signature bullet-sculpted metalworks. With a background in mechanical design and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship inherited from his father, he transitioned from fine furniture-making to experimental art. In the late 1990s, he developed an innovative technique of shooting metal sheets to create evocative, sculptural surfaces. His work, balancing brutality and elegance, has been exhibited internationally, including at Unix Gallery in New York and major Italian institutions. Exclusively represented by Minotauro Fine Art Gallery, his legacy continues to be celebrated in prestigious collections worldwide.
