About the Item
The Entity Chaise is a sculptural, contemporary seating piece that merges industrial structure with an unexpected sense of softness and suspension. At its core lies a metal mesh base, cradled within a robust steel frame. Rather than resting directly on this base, the cushion appears to float above it—an illusion achieved through the chaise’s unique engineering. The mesh subtly sags along its span, forming a graceful, open channel in which the cushion is tension-suspended. This suspended bridge stretches between the head and foot of the base, where it is securely anchored, giving the chaise an airy, almost hammock-like presence.
Its silhouette is fluid and rounded, evoking a cocoon-like embrace. At the head, a generously sized foam roll serves as an integrated pillow, inviting the user to recline in comfort. Both the top and bottom edges of the chaise feature a rhythmic sequence of soft curves, imparting a biomorphic, organic quality that contrasts beautifully with the raw texture of the metal mesh. The result is a visually compelling interplay of lightness and structure—a design that feels both futuristic and serene, as if gently levitating above its frame.
