About the Item
A wonderful example of an early 19th Century sofa, often referred to as scroll-arm chaise. The high, scrolled arms and gentle camelback backrest are typical of Regency or Early Victorian design, from 1820-1840. Sitting on turned ebonised legs made from mahogany or beech with brass castors. This is an English design, often used in bedrooms.
Re-upholstered in hessian, we can happily organise to cover it in a fabric of your choice. The original striped backrest has been left as we found it.
