This enchanting chaise is reminiscent of the chimerical furniture from Collen Moore's "Fairy Castle." When one falls upon this chaise one is immediately transported to "once upon a time". The whimsical charm of this piece makes even the most mature women feel like an excitable princess who cannot believe how incredible her life has become. Imagine Aphrodite rising from the sea to lay upon this gold- and silver-leafed masterpiece. The chaise is Romanesque by way of the French Empire and is both architecturally massive and excessively sumptuous. Its ample frame sits upon delicately scrolled feet. The piece is adorned with carvings of scrolls and palmettes. Atop the spoon-curved back sits a scalloped sea shell suitable for a Scandinavian snow princess. The chaise is upholstered with a soft white satin floral fabric. Complete with slide component, it is easily adjusted into a horizontal position.
