About the Item
A striking and generously scaled Hollywood Regency style chaise longue by Promemoria, handcrafted in Italy in the early 21st century by the renowned atelier’s master artisans.
No longer in production, the Gina model is a sculptural and luxurious example of contemporary Italian design — glamorous in tone, but architecturally restrained.
The silhouette is expansive and deliberately dramatic, with a sweeping, asymmetrical back that curves sensuously to support the body. While rooted in the language of Hollywood Regency, the design remains bold yet pared back, relying on proportion, scale, and materiality rather than ornament.
Upholstered in a taupe-toned velvet by Bruno Triplet, the fabric is notably tactile and opulent, lending softness and depth to the chaise’s monolithic presence. Measuring 240 cm wide (94.5 in), with a depth of 98 cm (38.5 in), height of 82 cm (32.3 in), and seat height of 45 cm (17.7 in), the piece has a commanding presence without visual excess.
In good condition overall. The velvet shows moderate bruising to the pile, particularly on the bullnose plinth base, piped edges, and select areas of the seat — all consistent with use and the character of the textile.
