About the Item

Early first generation Eames La Chaise. The first generation chairs were constructed with a double layer of fiberglass making the piece quite substantial, durable and heavy weight. Later models use a single layer. This example is in amazingly good condition with only two tiny edge chips each measuring less than a quarter inch and only visible on very close inspection. The oak base shows light scratches and the wood is nicely patinated. The chrome has no rust. We don't think one can find a better first generation example.
