CONDITION:
Beautifully patinated and aged. The leather has apparent age characterized by fading, patina, creasing, discolorations, scratches and scuffs - however no visible rips or tears. This example does not have a head bolster pillow however a new one can be made upon request. Canvas has discoloration, fading, prior repair, scratches and scuffs, light staining and general patina, age and wear. Stainless steel frame has light attractive patina and age with some fine scratches. Ready for immediate use.

Jørgen Kastholm
Jørgen Kastholm was born in Roskilde. Kastholm first trained as a smith but soon turned to furniture design. He attended the School for Interior Design in Copenhagen, where he studied under Finn Juhl. At the beginning of the 1960s, working in Lebanon, he was inspired to design the Scimitar Chair. He also furnished the SAS office there.
