We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite antique circa 1830 English hand carved Mahogany William IV extending Chaise Lounge with Chesterfield tufting.
This Chaise Lounge is an absolute ten, I have never seen another of its type (extending) anywhere, not in stock or listed for sale, it is sublime. It has beautiful carving to the mahogany pillared back and the legs which are finished with brass castors. The red upholstery is chesterfield tufted as was the fashion of the time
This piece has been left mostly original and untouched, we have lightly restored it to include a deep clean hand condition wax and hand polished all over the timber. The upholstery looks to be very nice, it looks to be around 20-30 years old, I can't see any issues anywhere really, there may be the odd patina mark from use and transport but honestly it looks very fine.
