About the Item

A 20th Century, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian pair of club chairs in the style of Ico Parisi, in good condition. The seat backrest is slightly leaned to the back with outstretched arms, standing of four slanted iron legs. Newly upholstered in a light-grey, white cotton fabric. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Italy. Seat: 17.5" H x 17.25" W x 21" D Ico Parisi was an Italian architect and designer born in 1916, in Palermo, Italy and passed away in 1996. Parisi studied first construction and graduated in 1934, later on, between 1949 - 1952, he studied architecture at the Institute of Atheneum in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 1948, Parisi and his wife Luisa Aiani founded the design studio La Ruota. Parisi defined himself as a renaissance artist.
