We are delighted to offer for sale this original leather circa 1880 brown leather club armchair with hand carved Claw
Ball feet
A good looking, well made and decorative chair, it is exceptionally comfortable and slightly larger than usual, the frame is all coil sprung with the original leather upholstery. It it quite uncommon to find period leather in this condition, of course its aged distressed and well worn as you can see in the pictures but its original and still surviving, usually hide from this period has dried and disintegrated but this has been well maintained throughout its life and is still going strong
Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be good honest patina as mentioned but nothing negative to note

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
