A Beautiful French Leather Club Chair Normandy Model Circa 1910
This is a great looking chair, who’s the leather has been beautifully preserved. The colour is best described as deep tan with some lovely areas of chestnut running through. These variations in colour can only really be found in original, hand-dyed leather chairs and the overall effect is very pleasing. This particular chair belonged to only one family, due to the attachment that chairs can bring, the decision to recover it approximately 40 years ago was made. So therefore, the leather is still quite supple and very robust. This is a wonderful example of an original leather club chair that has been loved and enjoyed and will do so for generations to come.

We specialise in original, French, leather club chairs. Even though our stock is quite consistent, finding original club chairs in a very good, original condition is a constant challenge. With our partners in France, we are always on the lookout and our chairs can be found anywhere from a local brocante to a chateau sale, from the north to the south of France.
In our experience, nearly all the chairs will need attention to the springs, after all they're not just objects of beauty, they are to be used. In addition, the leather on our chairs is always nourished and the upholstery cleaned.
