About the Item

These Danish Modern club chair and matching ottoman consist of beech wood frame and lambswool upholstery in a gray-brown palette. The set was made in the Mid-20th Century and is attributed to Slagelse Møbelværk, which produced similar designs by Alfred Christensen. Like in those now iconic chairs, a balance of simple form and maximal texture combine to create easy, comfortable seating. A noteworthy feature of the chair is its channeled back, which curves inward creating a perfect shape for relaxing.
