French Art Deco Moustache Club Chair Faux Embossed Crocodile Italian Leather

About the Item

French Art Deco Moustache Style Leather Club Chair Upholstered in a Gorgeous Cognac Colored Faux Crocodile Real Leather imported from Italy and surprisingly soft for an embossed leather. We were inspired by our Original Crocodile 1920’s Club Chair, also listed on 1stdibs and so we set about finding the most authentic appearing faux Crocodile Leather available in the marketplace and then we had to gently message the crocodile to achieve the look we were going for. First order of business was to completely strip down the French Moustache Club Chair to its bare wood frame and properly rebuild the Club Chair to better than new standards. Our Old Plank Upholstery Department used nothing but old school materials, such as Horsehair and shredded coco fibers (ginger) for padding, 8-way hand-tied coil springs and everything kept authentic and correct……until it came to the Leather. We simply could not resist the look of our Cognac Faux Crocodile Italian Leather and although very difficult to install, we feel the results were more than worth the extra hand-labor involved. Not only is the visual appearance striking and elegant at the same time, but the Club Chair is as comfortable as it is good looking. Our Old Plank Upholstery Department spent over 60-man hours of labor creating this incredible looking faux Crocodile Leather Club Chair and we feel that it was worth every minute. We will be offering on 1stdibs the identical chairs that Old Plank we will be constructing in our woodshop and you can purchase just one chair, or a larger suite of Club Chairs in any type of leather you choose.
