We are delighted to offer this absolutely exquisite pair of circa 1900-1920 Art Deco Bordeaux brown leather club armchairs with feather filled backs and seat cushions and William Morris flat top arms These are pretty much the most comfortable armchairs you will ever sit in, the back rests are overstuffed feather filled which you absolutely never find, the seat cushions are also, overstuffed feather filled, the seat platform is coil sprung all the way to the front edge so there’s no hard wood edge, these are honestly, comfort wise, the best money can buy The leather is original and beautifully aged, antique restorers have been searching for years how to replicate this kind of patina, it can only be achieved by having quality fully aniline leather hand dyed from new and naturally aging it over decades and sometimes centuries The chairs have oversized antiqued studs, the arms are flat top and curved which is a design highly coveted by William Morris, these are stylish, charismatic, charming chairs that look expensive and important in any setting In terms of the condition they are an absolute dream, they have all the honest age related patina marks, no rips tares or damage, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished them from top to bottom, they are sublime! Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
