These sculptural bentwood lounge chairs are a nod to the iconic work of Czech designer Jindřich Halabala. Though unmarked, their graceful, continuous curves and curvilinear silhouette evoke his renowned H-269 chairs, blending early 20th-century modernism with a timeless, organic sensibility.
The bentwood arms flow in a single sweeping gesture, wrapping around generously proportioned seats and backs. Their stance is confident, their form inviting. Each chair has been reupholstered in “Pomegranate,” a painterly Raoul Textile fabric with a rich, gestural botanical motif that adds warmth, artistry, and a little mischief to the vintage frame.
While the chairs are in very good condition structurally, the upholstery shows some gentle signs of use — a few small areas of light soiling that do not detract from the overall beauty or functionality.
