Some of the most iconic designers and architects relied on Martin Brattrud to produce their work including John Lautner, Arthur Elrod, Greta Magnusson Grossman, Steve Chase, and Milo Baughman to name a few. From 1955-1958 they designed Jackie Cooper Pat Breslin’s furniture on the set of “The People’s Choice,” Robert Brattud retired in 1977 and Allan G. Stratford purchased and became president of Martin Brattrud. The company moved to a larger facility in Gardena in 1982 and they began creating more diverse furnishings for corporate offices, restaurants, hotels, sports entertainment facilities. In 1995 the “Think Fast Lounge Chair” was introduced making its debut at The Pacific Design Center and within 5 months became a best-seller and remained their best-selling chair for five years. In 1999 Martin/Brattrud upholstered seating for Nickelodeon Corporate Headquarters and in 2007 they created a custom banquette seating for the Player’s Lounge, Champagne Bar, and the VIP Terrace located in the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium.
