About the Item

This stunning chair has a great character. The chair itself is not only stylish, but really is of the highest quality. The thick original leather has aged beautifully, and the rich Havana colour and patina are wonderful. After cleaning and nourishment, the chair has a deep sheen, this will mellow with use. All the necessary seatwork has been done for your peace of mind. There is one area of wear at the front of the right arm, this is stable and will not deteriorate. Apart from this the rest of the chair is perfect. This is a very handsome single chair, perfect for reading or long films. We've been sourcing and selling early 20th Century and antique French furniture for 20 years. All of our pieces are sympathetically restored. We specialise in original, French, leather club chairs. Even though our stock is quite consistent, finding original club chairs in a very good, original condition is a constant challenge. With our partners in France, we are always on the lookout and our chairs can be found anywhere from a local brocante to a chateau sale, from the north to the south of France. In our experience, nearly all the chairs will need attention to the springs, after all they're not just objects of beauty, they are to be used. In addition, the leather on our chairs is always nourished and the upholstery cleaned. Our customers range from private homes to hotels and clubs, film and fashion shoots.
