This rare and compact corner armchair dates from the German Art Nouveau period around 1900 and represents a highly decorative yet functional seating piece. Crafted from solid walnut, the chair features finely carved floral motifs that are characteristic of the Jugendstil movement, visible on the backrest, arm supports, and seat panel. The proportions are well balanced, allowing the chair to be used comfortably despite its relatively small footprint, making it suitable for corners, alcoves, or as an accent piece in refined interiors.
The seat retains its original leather upholstery, embossed with an Art Nouveau floral design. This original surface adds considerable authenticity and visual depth to the piece and has developed a natural patina consistent with its age. The structure has been professionally restored, ensuring stability and usability, while preserving the original character and craftsmanship.
