An exceptional German Bauhaus daybed from the 1920s, showcasing the radical simplicity and geometric clarity characteristic of the movement. The frame, finished in a striking yellow color, emphasizes the Bauhaus focus on bold form and functional design, while adding a vibrant, modern presence to the piece. Recently re-upholstered, the seat and cylindrical bolster cushion feature a patterned fabric in neutral tones, creating a dynamic contrast with the painted base. The low, rectilinear structure reflects the Bauhaus philosophy of uniting art, craftsmanship, and industrial aesthetics into functional furniture.
