About the Item

Mid-Century, wider 1960's Cleopatra daybed by A.R. Cordemeyer with teak ends, enameled metal frame and new black mattress and bolster. Manufactured by Royal Auping, the Cleopatra divan bed was developed by Cordemeyer in 1953 to fit in with the newly updated, more streamlined bedroom style of the 1950s. Its sleek lines and minimalist approach made it fit right in with the burgeoning Modernist movement in Post War Dutch Design. Mattress and bolster included.
