About the Item

This elegant daybed was designed by Italian architect and designer Edoardo Gellner around 1970 and perfectly reflects the refined modernist spirit of the period. The design combines clean architectural lines with warm, natural materials, resulting in a piece that feels both structured and inviting. The teakwood frame is beautifully detailed with a distinctive woven leather support system, which not only adds visual rhythm but also provides flexible comfort. The slender black metal legs give the daybed a light, almost floating appearance while ensuring excellent stability. The cushion has been newly upholstered in a high-end Belgian textile, adding a refined tactile quality while complementing the warm wood tones and enhancing the graphic character of the design. A versatile piece, this daybed works equally well as a lounge, guest bed, or statement seating in both modern and eclectic interiors. A true example of thoughtful Italian design from the 1970s, combining craftsmanship, functionality, and timeless aesthetics. Dimensions: Length 196 cm × Width 85 cm × Height 53 cm A second daybed available on request.
