About the Item

Elegant daybed by renowned French designer René Jean Caillette, a leading figure of the 1950s and a founding member of influential design groups such as the Saint Honoré Group, Group 4, and ACMS. Crafted from solid ash wood, the frame was designed for easy storage with a foldable headboard and legs. The bed base has been replaced, and the mattress and bolsters have been newly reupholstered in luxurious Nobilis wool fabric. Manufacturer : Group IV Charron, circa 1950, France.
