About the Item

Gorgeous dormeuse attributed to the great designer Gio Ponti of fine Italian manufacture, from the 1950s. The base is made of a very beautiful and durable wood with four beautiful conical legs. Above stands out the central body of the dormeuse: we see a long seat that develops horizontally, very soft and elegant. The centerpiece is the backrest, which rises imposingly on the right side, creating a gentle curve at the back of the seat; as it recedes on the left side the backrest becomes lower, creating a comfortable support for the arms. The backrest is made through a special fabric work, which gives it the appearance of a very beautiful shell. The dormeuse has been entirely reupholstered in a beautiful pearl gray silk satin, simply elegant. The dormeuse is suitable for elegant areas with chic taste.
