About the Item
The term “daybed” traditionally applied to sofas and chaise lounges used for socializing during the day. Modern daybeds can be used in much the same way, so the term is now used to describe these bed frames. Many European designers tried their hands at this form of furniture, yet few remain known to this day. Scandinavian models, however, have never lost their popularity thanks to their understated design and quality.
There are numerous advantages to having a daybed such as this beautiful Danish teak model. A daybed adds comfort, style and function to any space; therefore, it goes well with the Scandinavian design principles. This model, inspired by classic Danish furniture design and simplicity, features a bed frame of solid teak wood with a single long, upholstered cushion.
