About the Item

1930s Georg Kofoed set of six Danish mahogany dining chairs Handcrafted mahogany dining chairs by Danish master cabinetmaker Georg Kofoed in the 1930s with original beautifull fabric upholstery and labels from Georg Kofoeds workshop. The set of dining chairs features very well designed and crafted elegant frames by the highly regarded Danish master cabinetmaker Georg Kofoed in the 1930s that with their combination of straight and curved lines give a sturdy appearance of legs and seats while the thin and elegant lines of the backrest balance it out, making an overall light and elegant chair.... indeed a set you rarely see. The chairs still have their original regal fabric upholstery. The inner of the upholstery is in very good condition and the beautifull regal fabric still have it's fresh appearence but does have some wear that it will take effort to restore if you would like to keep it. We have our own workshop with experienced cabinetmakers and upholsteres so feel free to ask if you would like us to make a quote for refinishing and / or reupholstery.
