About the Item
1950’s Simple Flower Bud Bentwood Debrecen Dining Chairs – Pair.
At the beginning of the 20th Century their were two (amongst others) competing bentwood producers, J&J Kohn and Mundus. Both produced chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. Undoubtedly due to a combination of commercial pressure from the market leading producer Thonet and the political upheaval of the time, the firms merged in 1914. Beautiful surviving and fascinating chairs, this is an good pair of arm chairs with a beautiful back design. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively restored, we only sell vintage of excellent quality.

Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
