About the Item
Classical and beautiful French "Baumann" chair model "Oeil" with the iconic hole in the back in a warm, stained color and lacquered plywood. The chair dates from around 1960s and was a very popular choice for restaurants and bistrots. Although once a popular chair, it is now quite rare to find. The manufacturing company was founded in France by (Swiss) Emile Baumann in the beginning of the 20th century, and does not exist anymore.
We have 7 chairs on stock and color and patina varies. Some have the manufacturers stamp underneath.
