This fine set of six Viennese Biedermeier walnut chairs from circa 1825 is the best example of an early Viennese Biedermeier which reflect innovative design and highest quality craftsmanship.
The set is attributed to the most prolific Viennese cabinet maker during the Biedermeier era, Josef Danhauser. His pieces reflect innovative design and highest quality craftsmanship. Danhauser’s pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The chairs are beautifully veneered in walnut wood accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 hundred years old patina.
The set is in very good condition. The pieces sits well and are very comfortable.
This early Viennese set of six chairs is a rare example of early Biedermeier.
Sets containing six chairs are incredibly rare and hard to find.
The chairs will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
